The Listening Program®
The Listening Program® is a Music Based Auditory Stimulation™ method that trains the brain to improve the auditory skills needed to effectively listen, learn and communicate. It consists of high quality music that integrates specially produced acoustic music, primarily classical, with innovative sound processing techniques that exercise the auditory pathways.
Who can benefit
The programme is available to all ages from 2 years and above. It can be used by individuals experiencing listening, sensory, learning, language, reading, attention, memory, social, communication and auditory processing difficulties.
Content
The Listening Program Level One Kit is the core of the programme and is available to rent from Advance Therapy Systems for Clients. Our occupational therapy clinicians use the Listening Program® in collaboration with intervention. Typically clients follow a schedule of listening 5 days per week for fifteen or thirty minutes each day, for ideally at least 20 – 40 weeks, dependent upon individual needs.
